About me
Hello,
I'm Maria.
I'm a Certified Sleep Consultant (Level 6), maternity night nurse, and mum of two daughters. For more than 16 years, I've had the privilege of supporting babies, children and their families through the joys and challenges of early childhood.
Alongside my practical experience, I hold a First Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology, am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS), and I'm currently studying for an MSc in Psychodynamics of Human Development at Birkbeck, University of London, in partnership with the British Psychotherapy Foundation. My long-term goal is to qualify as a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist.
My interest in children's sleep grew naturally from caring for babies and supporting families in their own homes over the years. I came to appreciate that sleep is rarely just about routines. Every child has their own temperament, developmental stage, and family circumstances, which is why I believe sleep support should always be tailored to the individual.
I take a gentle, evidence-informed approach that respects both your child's emotional well-being and your family's values. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all programmes, I work with you to create a personalised plan that is practical, realistic and tailored to your child.
My additional training includes infant and child sleep, reflux, colic, food allergies and intolerances, allowing me to consider the wider factors that can influence sleep.
Above all, I want parents to feel supported and confident. My role isn't to tell you how to parent, but to offer guidance, reassurance and practical strategies that work for your child and your family. I believe that sleep support should feel collaborative, never judgemental, and that you should always feel comfortable with the approach we take.
I look forward to supporting you and your family.
Maria

I'd love to hear about your family and what you're finding difficult at the moment. Send me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
