Terms & Conditions
1. General
By booking any service with Gentle Dream Coach, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
These terms apply to all sleep consultations, personalised sleep plans, follow-up support and Night Nursing services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. My Commitment
I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-informed and individualised support tailored to your family's unique circumstances.
I will:
-
Provide guidance based on current evidence and best practice.
-
Deliver support using a gentle, responsive and attachment-focused approach.
-
Treat you and your family with kindness, respect and professionalism.
-
Maintain confidentiality at all times, except where safeguarding concerns require disclosure.
-
Work within my professional scope of practice.
-
Recommend seeking medical advice where concerns fall outside my area of expertise.
3. Your Commitment
Successful outcomes rely on a collaborative approach between the consultant and the family.
By booking my services, you agree to:
-
Provide accurate and honest information regarding your child's sleep, health, feeding, development and daily routines.
-
Inform me of any medical conditions, medications or changes in circumstances that may affect your child's sleep.
-
Follow current safe sleep guidance.
-
Implement the agreed recommendations as consistently as reasonably possible.
-
Communicate openly throughout the support period.
Recommendations are based on the information provided at the time of consultation. If important information is omitted or circumstances change, additional consultation or amendments to the sleep plan may be required.
4. No Guarantee of Results
Every child is unique, and sleep is influenced by many factors, including age, temperament, development, health, medical conditions, family circumstances and consistency of implementation.
Whilst I will provide professional guidance, personalised recommendations and ongoing support to the best of my ability, I cannot guarantee specific results or improvements within a particular timeframe.
The success of any sleep programme depends largely upon the consistency with which recommendations are implemented by parents or caregivers. For this reason, refunds will not be provided solely because expected outcomes have not been achieved.
5. Medical Disclaimer
I am not a medical doctor, paediatrician or healthcare provider.
My advice does not replace medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment.
Parents remain responsible for seeking appropriate medical advice regarding concerns about their child's health, feeding, growth, or development.
I reserve the right to postpone or discontinue support if I believe a medical assessment should take place before sleep guidance continues.
6. Safe Sleep
All recommendations are provided in accordance with current UK safer sleep guidance.
Parents and caregivers remain responsible for making all decisions regarding their child's care and sleep environment.
Whilst every effort is made to provide safe and appropriate guidance, Gentle Dream Coach cannot supervise implementation when not present in the home.
7. Communication & Support
Support is available between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm unless otherwise agreed.
I aim to respond to messages within 4 hours during support hours. Response times may occasionally vary due to consultations or overnight work.
My services do not provide emergency medical advice. If your child becomes acutely unwell or you have a medical emergency, please contact your GP, NHS 111 or the emergency services as appropriate.
For urgent sleep-related questions during your support period, you are welcome to contact me via WhatsApp. I will respond at the earliest convenient opportunity.
8. Confidentiality
All personal information shared during consultations will be treated as confidential and stored securely in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
Information will only be shared where required by law or where safeguarding concerns necessitate disclosure.
9. Payment
Full payment is required before any consultation, sleep plan or Night Nursing booking is confirmed.
Invoices will be issued upon receipt of payment.
Bookings are only secured once payment has been received.
10. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled appointment or booking will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made between 48 hours and 7 days before the appointment may be rescheduled once, subject to availability.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment are non-refundable.
Should illness prevent either party from proceeding with the consultation, one alternative appointment will be offered where reasonably possible.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gentle Dream Coach shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the implementation of recommendations provided during consultations or within written sleep plans.
Parents and caregivers remain solely responsible for all decisions relating to their child's care and well-being.
12. Intellectual Property
All sleep plans, written materials, questionnaires, guides and resources remain the intellectual property of Gentle Dream Coach.
These materials are provided solely for the purchasing family and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, shared or sold without prior written permission.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Settling and comforting your baby.

Nappy changing.
-
Keeping feeding and sleep records if requested.

Rest Facilities During Overnight Care

This should include a comfortable sofa or sofa bed within reasonable proximity to the baby's sleeping area.
Dining chairs, kitchen chairs or other unsuitable seating are not appropriate for overnight shifts lasting up to 10 hours.
This allows me to remain comfortable, alert and able to respond promptly to your baby's needs throughout the night.

A smoke-free home during working hours.
-
Safe access to handwashing facilities.

A clean and safe environment.
-
A home maintained at a reasonable temperature.

Standard overnight care is provided between 9:00 pm and 7:00 am.
Alternative hours may be arranged by prior agreement and may incur additional charges.
Travel
Night Nanny services are available within a 10-mile radius of Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
Bookings outside this area may be accepted subject to availability and may incur additional travel charges, which will be discussed and agreed upon before confirming the booking.
Illness
Families are asked to notify me as soon as possible of any illness within the household, regardless of whether it is believed to be contagious.
Following the discussion, I will determine whether it is safe and appropriate for the booking to proceed.
Where a booking cannot proceed due to illness, any prepaid nights will be rescheduled to a mutually convenient date, wherever possible.
Parental Responsibilities
Parents remain responsible for providing:
-
Accurate feeding instructions.
-
Details of any allergies or medical conditions.
-
Information regarding prescribed medications.
-
Emergency contact details.
-
Adequate supplies including formula, expressed breast milk, nappies, wipes and any other items required during the shift.
Emergency Situations
I hold a valid Paediatric First Aid qualification and, should an emergency arise, I will immediately administer appropriate first aid within the limits of my training while arranging emergency medical assistance where necessary.
Parents remain legally responsible for their child whilst on the premises and will be contacted immediately in the event of an emergency.
Whilst every effort will be made to provide prompt and appropriate care, Gentle Dream Coach cannot accept liability for the outcome of any medical emergency.
Sleep Expectations
Night Nursing Sers vicesare intended to provide professional overnight newborn care, practical support and parental reassurance.
Whilst many babies settle well overnight, uninterrupted sleep for parents cannot be guaranteed, as every baby has individual needs and routines.
